Claus Bellinger was inspired by McLaren’s groundbreaking carbon composite MP4-1 Formula 1 car in 1981, which introduced a lighter, stronger carbon fiber body that transformed racing design. That inspiration led to the launch of BLAC’s first carbon fiber eyewear frame in 2008, including the world’s first adjustable carbon frame with a patented titanium core embedded in the temples. Designed and handmade in Denmark, each BLAC frame is crafted from raw carbon fiber and fiberglass with no lacquer, highlighting the unique woven texture and ensuring every piece is custom-made and one of a kind.
