This March 8-15, four of us from MVO will travel to Costa Rica to take part in an eye care mission.

Supported by Canadian Vision Care (CVC), we will examine several hundred patients, diagnose eye disease and provide treatment in the form of eyeglass lens correction if needed.  CVC will cover the cost of any needed eyeglasses we prescribe.

We were recently interviewed by the Cochrane Eagle who did up a great article in the February 12 edition.  You can access it by clicking here: Cochrane Eagle — Featured Article on Page 7.

CBC News also filmed and interviewed us and will air the segment on Thursday February 12 at 5:00PM.

We are holding a bottle drive to help cover our travel costs.  Between the hours of 9 and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, please drop off your bottles and cans in the parking lot beside our Cochrane office (North wall) we will gratefully accept this donation to offset our expenses.  We also have an online secure donation site at https://www.mountainviewoptometry.myevent.com/

We will soon post information about following us on Twitter – stay tuned!
