i.Scription by ZEISS: Personalized Vision That Goes Beyond 20/20

June 11, 2025

Better Vision, Day or Night

If your glasses seem perfect in the daylight but let you down when driving at night, you're not imagining things. Traditional prescriptions only measure basic vision correction under ideal lighting. But real life isn’t always well lit. That’s where i.Scription® by ZEISS makes the difference.

This advanced technology refines your glasses prescription to a much higher level of accuracy, creating lenses that are uniquely tailored to how your eyes function across all lighting conditions.

How It Works

i.Scription starts with a quick scan from the ZEISS i.Profilerplus®, a 3-in-1 diagnostic tool that measures how light passes through your eyes, in both dim and bright conditions. It measures the vision imperfections (known as “aberrations”) that standard eye tests often miss.

That data is then combined with other eye tests administered by your MVO optometrist and processed using ZEISS’s proprietary software. This data is then available to your MVO optometrist to help them design a highly customized prescription that adjusts for subtle optical irregularities, especially those that show up in dim light.

Real-Life Benefits You’ll Notice

Sharper Night Vision

By correcting for high-order aberrations that distort vision in the dark, i.Scription lenses reduce glare and halos from headlights, making nighttime driving safer and less stressful.

Better Contrast and Clarity

These lenses sharpen your vision so you can see edges, letters, and small details more clearly, even in low-contrast situations like cloudy days or screen glare.

Brighter, More Natural Color

Many patients report that colours appear more vivid and lifelike, due to the higher level of accuracy of the prescription as well as the quality of the lenses used.

Less Eye Strain

A more precise prescription means your eyes don’t have to work as hard to focus. That translates to fewer headaches, less fatigue, and more visual comfort throughout your day.

Clinically Proven Results

In clinical trials, 80% reported greater comfort, 74% of wearers saw better at night, over 66% noticed clearer, sharper vision compared to traditional lenses, and 60% experienced colours more intensely.

Patients consistently preferred i.Scription lenses across 17 real-life visual conditions, from screen use to night driving.

Is i.Scription Right for You?

You’ll benefit most from i.Scription if:

  • You experience glare, halos, or blurry vision at night
  • You spend long hours on screens or under artificial lighting
  • You want the sharpest, most comfortable vision possible

Available for both single vision and progressive lenses, i.Scription is fully customizable to your prescription and frame.

See What You’ve Been Missing

Don’t settle for “good enough” vision. With i.Scription by ZEISS, your glasses can finally match how your eyes really work in every lighting condition.

At MVO we have been using i.Scription for several years to create the most accurate prescriptions possible for our patients, and were one of the first clinics to bring this technology to Canada. Book your eye exam today and ask if i.Scription is right for you.
