PHOTOREJUVENATION IMPROVES SKIN AND DRY EYES

“Photorejuvenation” refers to the use of Intense Pulsed Light therapy (“IPL”) on the skin of the face. Also referred to as a “Photo-Facial” it provides your skin with a vibrant, radiant, and rejuvenated look and feel by treating problems on the skin’s surface. These problems include age spots, freckles, sun damage, spider veins and rosacea (redness). IPL also stimulates collagen which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

This non-surgical, non-invasive treatment is done in-office in about 20 minutes and is pain-free. While many see immediate results, IPL-treated skin continues to change for several weeks afterwards – best results are usually seen three months after your last treatment.

As many of our dry eye patients know, we are also using IPL to treat dry eyes for people with rosacea, and have had amazing results. As rosacea is a generalized skin condition we are now recommending Photo-Facials along with IPL dry eye treatment. Click here to see an IPL treatment session for dry eyes performed by Dr. Wilk.

IPL Photorejuvenation must be performed on skin that has not had recent sun exposure. Contact us to schedule your consultation before the tanning season is upon us!
